What is coaching?
"Coaching is unlocking a person's potential to maximise their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them." - Sir John Whitmore (Author, Coaching for Performance)
Coaching is a powerful way to focus on your growth, identify what you want to achieve, how to achieve it and maximise your potential.
Coaching is different from mentorship and counselling. A coach believes their client is the expert in their own life.
Coaching is actions focused- the role of the coach is not to give advice but ask questions to enable discovery and create awareness so that the client is empowered to formulate their own way forward.
Coaching is focused on how to get you from the present to your future goals.
Mentorship is when a subject matter expert in a particular field provides advice and guidance based on their own experience.
Counselling is delivered by trained mental health professionals who focus on helping with emotional and mental states. It is focused on exploring the past and healing your present.

All 3 are extremely beneficial in their own way and can be very impactful in helping an individual thrive.

Is coaching right for me?
"I absolutely believe that people, unless coached, never reach their maximum potential.”
– Bob Nardelli (Former CEO, Chrysler)
In a study by the International Coaching Federation, 80% of individuals who receive coaching reported increased self-confidence and over 70% reported benefits including improved work performance, relationships and more effective communication skills.

Working with a coach helps you identify blindspots, new perspectives and devise an action plan going forward that the coach can help keep you accountable for.

What should I expect in a coaching session?
60mins of time to focus on your growth
The coaching session is your time to focus on you. Everything discussed will be kept confidential between client and coach.
Coaching is different for everyone. You may find you benefit from coaching on one topic over several sessions, or that you benefit from coaching on a different topic from session to session.
Sometimes you may have something specific you want to bring to a session, or sometimes you may have many things on your mind that we can breakdown and explore together.
As a coach I work with my clients to contract a realistic outcome they want to achieve by the end of a 60min session. This can be a 'tangible' outcome/action point or it can simply be a space to externally process a situation through a coaching lens.
I am currently based in Hong Kong and available to meet in person or virtually (via Zoom). In addition to Hong Kong, I have virtually coached clients based in Sydney, Singapore, Dubai, Japan, Mongolia, the US and the UK.
